Dr. Bahn is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Behavioral Health Center of Illinois. Her practical experience began in the early 1990’s when she worked at Hartgrove, St. Elizabeth’s, University of Chicago, Lakeshore, Northwestern, Northwest Hospitals, and Family Service Association for patients with developmental disabilities and severe psychiatric disorders.  In both clinical and in private practice, she has treated all forms of mental illness, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, post traumatic stress disorder, trauma, cultural identity, acculturation process, adoption integration, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, interpersonal problems at work or with intimate partners, life coaching, emotional and sexual abuse problems as well as more common social and relationship issues. Dr. Bahn is trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy.


In addition to her curricular training with the neuropsychological clinic in St. Charles, IL, Dr. Bahn has been the Clinic Director of Asian Pacific Development Center, Victims Services Director, 9/11 Director of Chinese American Planning Council (World Trade Center Disaster Survivors program), 9/11 Project Liberty in Battery Park, and Director of Child and Adolescent Services with IACT.


Dr. Bahn’s academic credentials include a doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology; she holds a master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counselling from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; continuing education with Rush Medical College and New School University in New York; and a bachelor of fine arts from Iowa State University.
